Som 11-årig begyndte Grant Knocke at skrive og producere musik i sit Texas soveværelse. Han har brugt det meste af sit liv på at turnere med sin bass-tunge pop musik, oig han er stolt af at repræsentere sin hjem stat.

American Song Contest
Grant deltog i den tredje delfinale i American Song Contest og kvalificerede sig til semifinalerne via juryens og seernes stemmer. Han deltog i den anden semifinale, hvorfra han kvalificerede sig til finalen via seernes stemmer.

I finalen blev Texas og Grant sammenlagt nummer 4, efter at blevet nummer tre i tv-seernes afstemning og nummer 7 hos juryen.
